Sarah Terkes
Sarah Terkes was the Research & Communications Coordinator for the Institute of Environmental Studies until January 2012, when she was lucky enough to be allowed to more fully embrace her passion for research in her transition to an independent research role. Sarah now works as an independent researcher, project manager and research assistant on a variety of research & teaching projects run through the Institute.
Sarah also works part time for the Faculty of Science at UNSW in a web development, events and promotions role, a job that involves managing the advertising, marketing and web promotions of the Institute of Environmental Studies. Sarah also maintains this website.

Sarah's diverse background includes commercial business management, events planning and promotions, business and information systems analysis, computer programming and web design.
In her own time Sarah runs a small-scale Production company focusing on promoting artists and venues in the Blue Mountains of NSW, and a Pro Bono Web Designs service providing eligible charitable and not-for-profit organisations with free websites - the aim being to help them help others.
Sarah is also an active national leader in Adbusters 'mental environment' campaigns like Buy Nothing Day, and likes to get involved with community events that support arts, heritage, culture, welfare and of course, the environment.
